Hitting the ground running

Well then. I'm starting this journal much later than I should have. It took five weeks to get internet installed into my flat, and since then I've been just busy enough to keep putting it off. The problem i have writing this is that all the things that I should have been writing about in the first few starry-eyed weeks - nomihodais, kareoke booths, freaky manga, james bond mobile phones, hilarious Engrish tshirts and so on have begun to seem *normal*, and it'll be boring as hell to read about them. So, if you haven't already, you should all go over here to Nikki's livejournal; it's a much more comprehensive and witty account of the first few weeks than I could write.
Here, i'm just going to start blogging from now-ish. Please leave comments, questions, abuse, whatever. I miss everyone back home.
